I have not watched Dragon Cry yet so I am basing this idea on MAL's description of Stella in the movie.

It also seems that the interpretation of Stella is justified because old maps show countries and lands differently from modern maps due to them not being fully explored. P.S 2: I also conclude that the officially released map of Earthland is more akin to those old world maps that excludes uncharted lands at that time. P.S: Animax is airing the final season of FT on the same day as Japan by the way. With that, I can finally say that we've officially seen the eastern continent of Earthland and that it looks similar to the real Asia. Honestly, I rarely revisit content from episodes some time after I have watched it but just for this specific scene, I decided to take a closer look at what was shown and I conclude that we might have finally caught a glimpse of the eastern continent (a.k.a Asia in the real world). I immediately figured out where what was shown is geographically based on. The top left seems to be mostly land and the rest is the sea/ocean, The general shape of the land is familiar too. As I watch FT on Animax, I can't pause and observe the planet but when I first saw it, I found it extremely familiar so I made some simple mental notes on it: We saw one side of the whole planet that Fairy Tail is set in.

In the most recent episode, we are treated to something even more better. So by now, I assume we've all seen the map of Earthland.Īs we already know, the continent that the Earthland map shows is based on Europe and the slightly recently revealed western continent is more or less based on America.
