when its unchecked you cannot switch it, so set the manual speed first, then uncheck EC support and you're good to go.

however what EC support does, it allows you to change the fans from system auto to manual. you need to go to 'program' then 'settings' then in the 'safety' tab you uncheck 'EC Support' and then you have no more crashes. some laptops such as mine, will shut off when playing a game and the fans are controlled by this program. it all seems too good and easy, well thats because theres more to it. If you want to return to normal, click 'system auto'. Choose a speed then click the 'manual' button which will set the speed. Click that and you can control your fans.
